"Thinking about history makes me wonder how I’ll fit into it one day, I guess. And you too. I kinda wish people still wrote like that. History, huh? Bet we could make some."

No Spoiler Summary:

Red, White & Royal Blue is an LGBT Romance between assumed enemies (A Prince of England, and the First Son of the United States). Constantly put in the same room for diplomatic events, and hounded by the press- after an accidental disagreement ruins a 75,000 dollar wedding cake the two are forced together to show the world that they do indeed like eachother (and are actually the best of friends.)

As these plots often do, the pair spark more than a friendship, and if you thought there was chaos before you haven't seen anything yet. All of this takes place as Alex's Mom, President Claremont, is running for reelection so scandals need to be few and far between.

Review:

I'm obsessed with this book. I thought the characters were SO FUN and like One Last Stop would love to see spin off novels with June or Norah. Casey writes the absolute best dialogue and banter, and I couldn't put this book down for one second.

I really liked how this enemies to lovers plot worked, as I don't think the Prince/Son of the President storyline is overdone- or at least isn't to me. I also loved getting to see a female President in all her glory, and some of the twists and turns that I didn't see coming.

If you want a relatively lighthearted romance, with some very fun dialogue and a lot of heart, this is definitely the book for you. And if you enjoy this, I would wholeheartedly recommend reading One Last Stop after.
