About Jess

Hi! I'm Jess- a 30 year old book lover. I has been devouring stories for as long as I can remember (a hobby passed down from my mother who never fell asleep without a book in her hand.)

I spent 6 years as a bookseller with Barnes and Noble, and I also host a monthly book club 'Books and Brews' at my local brewery.

My favorite books are fantasy, and I absolutely ADORE YA novels. Some of my favorites include Jeff Zentners SERPENT KING, the Court books by Sarah J. Maas, the Renegades trilogy by Marissa Meyer, and, like most, The Harry Potter series.

I also have an infant son, Fitzgerald, named after my favorite author, F. Scott Fitzgerald. We have diligently been working through our picture book collection since his birth in September 2020.

​

When not reading, you can catch me doing theater at the Opera House Players in Enfield, CT (where I am also a board member), singing in various local club and wedding bands, working at Kaleidoscope Art & Entertainment, and also playing with my 3 pugs (Curtis, Ursula, and Stitch), or brewery hopping and taking trips to Disney World with my husband, Matt.
